GENEVA
I have lived in Geneva for 30 years and at last I decided to take some pictures!! Geneva is a multi-cultural city and canton. These photos show the lakeside with its famous “Jet d’eau “, its old town, old arsenal, St Pierre’s Cathedral and the “Parc des Bastions” where you will find the Reformation Wall. Geneva is the City of Protestantism and Calvin. The Grand Theatre (Opera House) is close by. Every Wednesday and Saturday there is the famous flea market. Geneva is also the headquarters of many international organizations including the” Palais des Nations” and WHO. Lesser known is Geneva’s countryside with its fields of sunflowers, rape, flax, poppies and its vineyards. Finally the firework display (photos de Yves Bühler) on the lake in August brings 500.000 visitors

It is the 3rd time I have put photos of Geneva on my website. I always carry a little digital camera with me when I go into the city, the countryside or when I am walking by the lakeside and if something interests me; click, click……….
This is the second series of photos of Geneva.
They were taken from January to June 2010
